What is Podiatry?

Podiatrists undertake a three-year full time course at university in order to practice and become a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. They have to be a member of the HPC (Health Professions Council) and can work both in the National Health Service and private sector.

There are a number of areas that a Podiatrist can specialise in including surgery; biomechanics; diabetes; geriatrics; podopaediatrics (children); Rheumatology etc.

Clifton Bradeley is a specialist in Biomechanics; podopaediatrics and electrosurgery and is one of only a tiny group of full time sports biomechanists in the UK.
