Groin Strain
Groin Strain, is an injury or tear to any of the adductor muscles of the thigh. These are the muscles on the inner side of the thigh.
Groin strain is most common in sports especially rugby, football, tennis and raquet games in particular to football when caused by straining the adductor muscle whilst kicking.
Sports are the most common cause but a groin strain can also occur from falling (rock climbing or high jump) or heavylifting in bodybuilding and other resistance training.

Groin Strain – Signs & Symptoms
Some symptoms of a Groin Strain are;
- Pain felt on the inner thigh
- Pain from the hip to the knee
- Loss of strength in the upper leg
- Swelling to inner leg
- Bruising to inner leg
- Difficulty due to pain when walking or running
- Snapping sensation or sound at the point of injury
