Plica Syndrome

Plica Syndrome , The plica is a fold in the membrane surrounding your knee joint. Your knee joint is surrounded by a fluid-filled capsule called the synovial membrane.

Plica syndrome happens when your plica becomes inflamed which is usually due to an injury. This usually happens to the middle of your kneecap, which is referred to as medial plica syndrome.
