​Metatarsalgia, is a Pain in the ball of your foot known as metatarsalgia. It is a painful inflammation in the ball of your foot. The ball of your foot is the area between your toes and your arch. The metatarsal bones are in the midsection of your feet that connect to your toes.

Metatarsalgia injuries commonly occur from overuse in sports that involve running and jumping. It can also be caused by shoes that don’t fit properly, foot abnormalities and arthritis.
