Clients

Clifton has carried out 15,000 biomechanical assessments over twenty years. These have included mainly sports men and women, hundreds of children and non-athletes alike. These are just a few of his clients.

Yvonne McGregor MBE Sydney 2000 Olympic Medalist

"It has been a real privilege to be involved with the development of the Intrinsic Cycle Plate. Cyclists have a perennial desire to go ever faster, to gain those extra minutes, seconds, even 1000's of a second, by trying out new technologies. This well thought-out and superbly made device by Clifton has just such potential. I found them extremely comfortable whilst riding, but more importantly, my foot felt completely at one with my shoe so that all the power and transmission is felt in the forefoot. There is absolutely no waste of effort in any pedal stroke."

Michael Owen England International & World Cup Football Star

Clifton assessed the great Michael Owen at the start of the 2007/08 football season just before the opening two England matches. Michael went through the same assessment protocol that is advertised on this website like everybody else and scored four goals for England in the opening two games. The News of The World published a full-page article on Clifton shortly afterwards and claimed him to be the savior of English football.

Kieron Dyer England International Football Star

Kieron underwent the same assessment as Michael Owen on the same day, not wanting to miss out on the opportunity for efficiency. "It was a great experience and something I would recommend".

Nicky Butt England International Football Star

Nicky was assessed by Clifton at Newcastle United at the start of the 2007/08 football season. Clifton was called into Newcastle by Sam Allardyce's physiotherapy team to assess the whole first team shortly after Sam became the new manager.

Tal Ben Hiem Israel Captain and Premiership Football Star for Chelsea.

Tal is a big fan of Clifton's techniques and to our knowledge wears Sub-4 orthoses prescribed by Clifton at every opportunity. Tal was so pleased with Clifton's techniques that he flew his father from Israel to be assessed personally by Clifton for a long standing back issue.

Thomas Chamney Irish International 800m runner training for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing

Thomas first discovered Clifton whilst researching who to help him achieve his quest for glory whilst he was studying and training in the USA. Thomas and his dad traveled from Ireland to first meet Clifton in 2007. Thomas has had two assessments with Clifton now and is becoming more efficient, more symmetrical in function, stronger and less injury prone as a result. They are working closely together towards the 2008 Olympics.

Clifton is working closely with a number of 2012 London Olympic hopefuls who are benefiting from biomechanics input into their preparation. These athletes are:

  • Emma Jackson 800m

Greg Sharman, Physiotherapist (Stoke-on-Trent)

Hi Clifton, A thousand thanks for that - It makes perfect sense now! I think I was complicating the issue somewhat when it is in fact simple.

I cannot thank you enough for your time as it really is amazing that for the first time in 32 years, even with the temporary orthotics that you manufactured for me - I am walking with much more ease, comfort and minimal pain and I am aware for the first time ever that I am swinging BOTH arms as I walk - this is the strangest feeling in the world as walking is the most basic and fundamental of human movement and to realise how the LLD has affected me for such a large part of my life it is like I am enjoying to walk again which is an immense feeling!!

I cannot thank you enough for your help, expertise and knowledge which is inspiring.

Chris Lowe (Uttoxeter)

I came to Clifton after suffering from back pain for 35 years. My consultation was in January 2008. Clifton called me on the 21st February this 2008 to see how I was getting on and I explained to him that ‘touch wood’ my back pain has gone away. This is the first time in 35 years that I have been comfortable in my back and I am extremely grateful to Clifton for all his help.
